A warning...in song.

By the time of this recording, The Homeland Harmony Quartet had been recording quite prolifically for eight to nine years. Formed in 1947, they had reached the top of the gospel charts with their hit song, Gospel Boogie and had proven a successful seller with numerous records on the Bibletone label since then. By the time of this record release in 1955-1956, things were winding down. They released a total of six records on the 'Liberty' label. I don't know anything about the label itself. Perhaps it was a custom label for their own releases. There would be a few LP releases in the early 1960's, but the steady flow of singles had come to an end.

The Homeland Harmony Quartet were among the handful of quartets in the late 1940's and early 1950's that could truly be considered top class. Enjoy this do-wop flavored ditty about a beautiful damsel and the need to.....leave it alone!
