Well, the Fairfield Four are a real treat. This record was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee sometime in 1949. The Bullet label was quite active during the late 1940's and the early 1950's. They recorded pop, country and gospel. The Fairfield Four got their start on this label in 1946 and made their last recordings in the late 1990's....and I am not talking about being the same group in name only. They actually had many of the same members as they did in the 1940's. This particular record has one of my favorite bass singers,  Isaac 'Dickie' Freeman. He also recorded with The Skylarks on the Nashboro label in the mid-1950's. I will be posting some of their records in the future.
